    Come prepared with athletic footwear and clothes that allow you to bend and move.

    Do I Need to Bring Anything?

    A water bottle is recommended. We have sweat towels at the shake bar.

A graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Management.

Self proclaimed "the son my father never had", I was the athlete of the family. Starting with softball at 10 years and receiving a financial grant for volleyball at St John Fisher College, I've always been happiest competing and pushing the boundaries of what bodies were meant to do - move.

I have been an active fitness club member since high school, during college, careers and kids. I've trained through the major stages of my life; holding the freshman fifteen at bay, working out to relieve stress from the office, to get rid of the baby weight and get a well deserved break from my kids. I understand what it takes to get the job done from both a client's and trainer's point of view.

It is my pleasure every day to motivate and celebrate successes with our members. They are what keep me coming back to the LAFC, with a smile on my face.

Gil Hamilton

Certifications 

  • ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Gil has been working in the fitness industry as a trainer since 1992. He received his certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 1993. After graduating from SUNY Fredonia in 1995, he played Arena football for the Syracuse Storm and Buffalo Gladiators.

Gil has extensive background in the Martial arts. He holds a 4th degree black belt in Chunkukdo, Tang soo do as well as an advanced belt in American Kempo. His background in athletics and the Martial arts help make up his daily fitness philosophy! “ Just do the work”! Gil believes that you should always have a goal whether it relates to fitness or life in general.
