Silver Sneakers Yoga

Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness levels.


What Should I Wear?

Come prepared with comfortable footwear and clothes that allow you to bend and move.

Do I Need to Bring Anything?

A water bottle is recommended. We have sweat towels at the shake bar.

About The Instructor

Fatima Hodge

Fatima Hodge has been a Silver Sneakers instructor for the last 6 years. She is a fitness enthusiast and works out on a consistent basis.

Outside of the gym, Fatima has been a very active member of the Lockport community. She has been working with Opportunities Unlimited for 11 years along with being a devoted member of the Evangelical Church. She is also an avid bowler and is involved in many different leagues.

Cheryl Sprung

Cheryl is dedicated to helping others achieve their health and wellness goals while still having fun. She's a wife and mother of three teenage girls. She is passionate about nutrition, exercise, and helping people lose weight while still enjoying life. She likes to make exercise and nutrition fun with her energetic positive spirit. She received her Associates in Health and Wellness from Brynn University, Bachelor’s in The Science of Nutrition from Kaplan University. She is currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Public health. She is certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), certified spinning instructor through Mad Dogg Athletic, certified Silver Sneakers Instructor with Healthways, and certified Nutritionist. Her biggest accomplishment is her own weight loss and is now dedicated to helping people achieve their own health and wellness goals.

Low impact yoga class, using chairs. Targeting all muscle groups, focusing on flexibility, stability, and stretching.
